The Los Angeles Times has revealed in a recent report that an AT&T customer in the LA area has been slapped with a $24,000 monthly phone bill. The staggering charges which the customer was asked to pay up are linked to his AOL account.

The AT&T customer who is dealing with the disturbing phone bill is 83-year-old Ron Dorff from Woodland Hills, California. The bill was for a landline number in Dorff's house. The number was being used by Dorff to access the Internet through an AOL dial-up subscription.

The Apple App Store review guidelines have recently been amended, to disallow the creation of third-party time-telling apps for the newly-released Apple Watch smartwatch. The Watch hit the markets on April 24.

According to the amendment which Apple has made to the app review guidelines for the App Store, no third-party developer will be permitted to build Apple Watch apps which display time. The new guidelines have been in effect for the last few weeks.

In an announcement made on Wednesday, free-to-play mobile games developer Glu Mobile revealed that it has added Britney Spears to its roster of celebrity mobile games. The company has worked out a 5-year agreement with Spears; with the possibility of expanding the deal by another three years.

The announcement means that Spears will be a new celebrity on Glu Mobile's celebrity game roster which already features celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

Bigwig electronics firm LG announced the launch of its new flagship handset -- the impressive 'G4' smartphone -- on Tuesday. The handset was launched at special product-launch events held by LG in New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Seoul, and Istanbul.

Announcing the launch of its new G4 handset, LG said that the worldwide rollout of the handset will begin - from Korea - on April 29; and the device will eventually be available on nearly 180 carriers across the world. On Wednesday, Jive Software announced the general release of its real-time social messaging app called 'Jive Chime.' The app will essentially compete with existing real-time messaging apps like Slack, Hipchat, and Hall, among others.

The announcement of the general launch of Jive Chime implies that the app - which Jive Software had first introduced in February - has been moved out of beta. The app, which Jive is touting as a 'work style' app, is now available for use on desktops as well as mobile devices.
