San Diego Twins will forever share different birthdays

Delivered in a San Diego hospital, these twins will share different birthdays throughout their lives. One baby was delivered in the final minute of New Year’s Eve, whereas the other one took birth in the first minutes of New Year’s Day.

The San Diego Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center’s staffers said the twins, including a baby girl, Jaelyn, and baby boy, Luis, took birth at 11:59 pm on December 31 and at 12:02 am on January 1, respectively. The twins have been welcomed by mother Maribel Valencia, 22, and her spouse Luis.

Though the little ones are going to share a lot of things in the years ahead, they definitely won’t have birthday same day, in fact same year.

The hospital mentioned that the infants were both 18.5 inches long, and the weight of Jaelyn was 4 pounds, 15 ounces, whereas Luis weighed 5 pounds, 9 ounces. The mother and twins are happy and healthy.

As per the hospital, the Valencia family belongs to San Diego. The mother of twins work as a cashier at the San Diego International Airport and their father is a diesel mechanic for the United State Navy. The couple also has a 3-year-old daughter named Isabella.
While speaking to NBC 7, Luis said the older sister was in awe and shocked to know about how her siblings have come into the world.

The birth times of the twins could mean that Jaelyn is the 2015-born last baby in San Diego County, and Luis could be year 2016’s first baby in San Diego County.
