Mark Zuckerberg is quite impressed with Jarvis, Iron Man’s trusty digital assistant, wants to build such an artificial intelligence bot to help him run his life more efficiently. Zuckerberg is known to take up an exciting challenge every year and this year’s is to build an AI assistant can help him in home and at work.
Facebook Inc.’s chief executive officer wants to build something like Jarvis. He imagines his robotic assistant to allow people enter his house by recognizing their faces, keep a check on his baby and also help him run the company by displaying data about the organization in virtual reality. The robot will learn Zuckerberg’s voice in order to reply to the commands.
Zuckerberg expects to learn new things by working on a project meant for his own use. He is going to start working on the project by exploring the technology that is already present. “Then I’ll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home — music, lights, temperature and so on. I’ll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell”, affirmed Zuckerberg.
By teaching the existing AI technology, Zuckerberg will teach it control everything from the music to the temperatures of his home. In November, Zuckerberg and his wife, Pricilla Chan, were blessed with their first child, daughter Max Chan Zuckerberg. He is planning to implement a few security features.
As mentioned above, Zuckerberg would not be having any special team to come up the robotic assistant. In fact, he is planning to code his personal assistant on his own. Zuckerberg has experience to build AI machines such as the auto-response help chat on Messenger.
Zuckerberg’s annual goals are tough, but he has registered success every time. Zuckerberg decided to learn new skills and one year later learnt to speak Mandarin. He then decided to eat only meat from animals that he hunted personally.
TechCrunch reported that, That isn’t exactly true. Zuck wants to build his own AI (artificial intelligence) bot to help him run his life more efficiently — but he references Jarvis, probably the best example, to explain his lofty ambition.
Here’s what Zuckerberg said:
My personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work. You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man.
I’m going to start by exploring what technology is already out there. Then I’ll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home — music, lights, temperature and so on. I’ll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell. I’ll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max’s room that I need to check on when I’m not with her. On the work side, it’ll help me visualize data in VR to help me build better services and lead my organizations more effectively.
Fortune report said, Facebook founder says he’ll “be careful” not to accidentally create Skynet. You might have guessed that Mark Zuckerberg’s New Year Resolution would be more ambitious than yours.
According to the CNN, he plans to use existing AI technology and teach it to control everything from the music to the temperature of his home.
In November, Zuckerberg and his wife, Pricilla Chan, had their first child, daughter Max Chan Zuckerberg. He plans to implement a few security features as well.
