Bigwig South Korean device maker LG said in a Thursday announcement that it is shelving its new ‘LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE’ smartwatch because of a hardware issue. The smartwatch is the latest Android Wear-powered wearable device from LG, and it went on sale a few days back.
According to the announcement made by LG, the rollout of the Urbane 2nd Edition LTE smartwatch -- the first Android Wear smartwatch which boasts 4G LTE connectivity -- has been cancelled. The company has stopped taking orders for the device.
Bigwig retailer Walmart is selling two $10-priced Android smartphones --- the Sunrise L15G and Lucky LG16. Both the smartphones come with low-grade, 2009-era specifications, and are locked to the network of prepaid carrier Tracfone.

Sharing details about the availability and pricing of its new Watch Urbane 2 LTE smartwatch, LG said that the device is now available for purchase from AT&T for $300; and from Verizon for $500.
The two new Google Nexus handsets – Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P – are attractive and dynamic flagships of Google's Android platform. Both the new Nexus handsets have been carefully built to exhibit the latest software and services available to Android users.

In a recent announcement, LG has revealed that it will soon roll out its webOS 2.0 software update to customers who purchased the company's 2014 line of webOS Smart TVs. The update will be offered to customers free of charge.
According to the announcement, the free software upgrade to LG's 2014 webOS Smart TV lineup will be rolled out on September 21. Though the webOS 2.0 version has already made its way to the 2015 webOS Smart TV models, LG has pointed out that it is the first vendor to release free, major software upgrade to customers who purchased the 2014 models.
Electronics giant LG's Android 5.0 Lollipop-powered 4.7-inch Escape 2 smartphone is now available from AT&T for $179.99 without any service contract. However, the carrier is also offering the phone for just 99 cents with a two- year service contract.
AT&T has started selling the Escape 2 at $179.99 with no contract. LG came up with the phone after the mid-range Escape smartphone. The smartphone has a 4.7-inch curved display, which resembles the G Flex and Flex 2 smartphones, also released by LG. Its screen has a 1,280x720 pixel resolution.
Bigwig electronics firm LG announced the launch of its new flagship handset -- the impressive 'G4' smartphone -- on Tuesday. The handset was launched at special product-launch events held by LG in New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Seoul, and Istanbul.
Announcing the launch of its new G4 handset, LG said that the worldwide rollout of the handset will begin - from Korea - on April 29; and the device will eventually be available on nearly 180 carriers across the world.
