Parabens in personal care products can supposedly add to develop breast cancer: Researchers

A chemical known as parabens which is a common preservative for daily use items like toothpaste, moisturizer, and shampoo can supposedly add to developing breast cancer, according to a team of researchers.

To test whether parabens cause breast cancer or not, researchers merged them with laboratory-cultured cancer cells. The following results disclosed that the substance has similar structure with the hormone oestrogen it could make individuals vulnerable to cancer.

According to a USA Today report, Google has an ambitious project underway to improve Internet access in most of the rural areas of Indonesia, bringing the Internet within the reach of nearly 100 million Indonesians.

Under the project, Google will launch 20,000 ‘Project Loon’ helium balloons which will fly 20 kilometers above the earth’s surface. The project is being undertaken by Google in collaboration with three leading telecoms companies in Indonesia --- Telkomsel, Axiata and Inmost.

Campylobacter bacteria’s presence makes Organic Pastures Dairy to recall its raw milk

Raw whole milk produced by Organic Pastures Dairy in Fresno County has been tested positive for campylobacter bacteria. Therefore, it has been recalled, announced the California Department of Food and Agriculture.

As per California State Veterinarian Annette Jones, the recalled milk having a code date of OCT 24 is also facing a quarantine order. So far, no illness has been reported. As per the recall, Organic Pastures Dairy brand Grade-A raw milk having OCT 24 code date should be immediately removed from retail shelves.

The California Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) has called for a statewide recall of raw milk produced by milk Organic Pastures Dairy of Fresno. The step has been taken following a quarantine order after the discovery of campylobacter bacteria in some of the company’s milk.

On Friday, the CDFA reported that so far no reports of illnesses have come from people consuming the affected milk.
